  •     We had a good time at Chasity's party.  Chasity had a good time and was really well behaved.  I just love watching a child enjoy themselves.  Mark and I got Chasity a bouncy horse which she loved.  Although when we turned it on and it talked she was freaked out.  The look she gave was really funny but I did not seem to be able to get a good picture of her expression.

I thought that I would take a moment and give an update.  Nothing major has happened in my life.  I'm still healthy.  In a few days it will be 15 months.  I'm still dating the man of my dreams.  Mark and I will be together for 7 months at the end of this month.  I'm reminded over and over how merciful God is and how I too often take it for granted.  Even last weekend when I thought I was getting sick God quickly showed the Dr.'s what to do and I was feeling better in a short time.

A couple weekends ago we had our 5th young adults retreat.  God richly blessed it and gave us a good turn out along with a fabulous speaker.  Pastor Randy Pazzino exceeded my every expectation.  His sermons were thought provoking as well as practical.  The type of sermons that you feel like the pastor has been in your thoughts.   For those of you who prayed for the retreat THANK YOU.  God heard you and answered with a YES.

I'm spending today with Mark.  His cousins daughter is 2 years old today and we are going to her party.  Anybody surprised that I've already developed a good relationships with Chasity (the birthday girl)  I love that little girl.

  • Our last day in Colorado

Our week is coming to a close.  Tomorrow we leave at 5am and will be traveling all day and then stopping in St. Louis for the night.  Then another long day traveling on Sunday getting home very late.  These last couple of days have been low key which has been fine since my father was generous and gave me a belated christmas gift, his head cold!  Wednesday night and all day yesterday I felt lousy.  I did go a few place with mom and dad yesterday (Ben and Kristen had to be on base and Andrew and Jon did their thing).  Last evening I stayed back at the hotel and rested while the rest of the family went out for sea food with Sgt. Smith and his wife.

Please pray for us as we travel.  I know that safety on the roads if nothing to take for granted.

  • Well today we are off to Focus on the Family.  I'm looking forward to seeing the campus.  Last night Andrew and Jon Knerr decided to sleep outside.  It did not bother them that it was going to be 8 degrees.  They ended up sleeping in the car and I was told that the windows were covered in frost this morning.  Ben let them uses his two mummy bags that are designed to keep you warm up to -8 degrees.  Andrew had trouble getting his bag closed so he woke up cold but hopefully he will figure it out before tonight because they plan to sleep outside!
